About Mindful Yoga Therapy

First and foremost I want you to feel safe, seen and heard. Our mindful yoga therapy session starts with my belief that you are innately whole, not broken and interconnected with all of life! You will be met right where you are in terms of physical ability, pain, stress, or any other symptom that surfaces.

I am passionate about and specialize in supporting those with persistent pain, mental health and autoimmune issues.

People who work with me typically come with an intention to feel better on some level; less pain, more energy, reduced anxiety/depression, or better sleep. Yoga as a therapy addresses the whole person using the Panchamaya or 5 layer model (also known as koshas) which involves assessment of the body, breath, emotions, thoughts/personality, and innate joy/purpose. Yes, you are so much more than your physical body and experiencing joy is possible! Did you know that experiencing joy can boost your immune system? Integrating mindful awareness into each facet of your being creates an environment for information and healing to arise within each aspect of the mind and body. 

You will be introduced to “Optimal State” self assessment tools that will guide our creation of a practice that best serves your needs and goals. Read more about what to expect during a session. We will approach healing by managing and addressing the symptoms that are arising right now. 

I will use different metrics to measure current status and to gauge progress. Practices may include a combination of mindful movement, yoga postures, breathing, yoga philosophy/lifestyle, iRest™ meditation, other meditation, mudra and mantra if appropriate. In this personalized, one to one approach you will experience a range of yoga practices designed specifically to address your current and changing symptoms. And you will be given customized homework so you are a proactive participant in your healing!
